Our Chapter
The San Diego Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is committed to conservation, youth mentorship, and preserving our outdoor heritage. Through partnerships with San Diego County Parks and local volunteers, we work to promote ethical hunting, wildlife stewardship, and hands-on outdoor education.
Our annual Spring Turkey Tune Up serves as our primary fundraising event, bringing together families, hunters, and conservationists while raising funds that stay right here in San Diego County. Proceeds support youth hunts, J.A.K.E.S. events, and wounded warrior and veterans programs.
We proudly host the J.A.K.E.S. Day at the Range, a youth-focused outdoor education event introducing the next generation to safe firearm handling, archery, wildlife knowledge, and responsible hunting practices.
The Paul Connor Memorial Mentored Youth Turkey Hunt provides selected youth hunters the opportunity to hunt on county lands under the guidance of experienced mentors.
